Our affiliate teacher training program is designed for health and wellness professionals who wish to teach Gokhale Method Foundations. Non-health professionals with a keen interest in teaching the course and a willingness to satisfy extra prerequisites may also be eligible. The week-long intensive portion of the course is currently taught only in Palo Alto.
Prerequisites

- Acceptance to the program (click here to apply)
- Ability or willingness to learn to use a computer. You will need to own a computer to teach the GMF course and participate in ongoing training and support
- If you are not a health or wellness professional, other prerequisites will be determined on a case-by-case basis
Teaching Training Week-long Immersion
The seven-day immersion with Esther Gokhale is offered in Palo Alto. Focus: Optimal instruction of the Gokhale Method Foundations course. Students will receive scripts and images related to the Gokhale Method Foundations course ahead of time. Training will be on presentation of material and hands-on techniques related to the Gokhale Method Foundations course. There will also be presentation of select cases, anatomy overview, training in complementary Gokhale Method techniques, training in various contexts (gym, outdoors, home environment, museum, etc.), introduction to complementary healing modalities as they relate to posture training, rudimentary training in yoga / dance / fitness as those relate to posture training and tips on running a posture business.Training takes place from 9am-5pm on the days listed. Deadline for registration is one month prior to the session. This gives adequate time for review of scripts before the course. To Be Completed After the Week-long Immersion
- Memorization of GM Foundations teaching script.
- Reading assignments (list of articles, research papers and books for discussion will be provided).
- Two case studies to be documented and submitted.
- Online quiz.
- Participation in six teleseminars (the last Tuesday of every month at 6:30pm PDT, plus a makeup time slot).
- Participation in public and teacher forums.
- In order to gain competency in massage, oral presentation and anatomy, students without strong background in these areas may be required to take supplemental courses. These will be decided on a case-by-case basis.
Requirements After Certification
Certified Affliliate Gokhale Method Foundation teachers are initially qualified to teach the private GM Foundations course (4X). This qualifies the candidate to teach GMF to small groups of 1-4 students (2X). This then qualifies candidate for teaching GMF to groups of up to eight students.
- Attendance in one continuing education weekend annually (projected price for tuition $450)
- Participation in six teleseminars annually (cost: $20/teleseminar; first year no charge)

Cost and fees
Gokhale Method Foundations - $450 (pre-requisite)
Teacher Training - $300 deposit, payable by credit card, check or money order + $2,700 program fee payable by check or money order.
No fixed annual fee. Affiliates are charged a small affiliate fee ($45) for each Gokhale Method Foundations course registrant.
