Alumni Membership, Online Workshop Videos and Joining Q&A Sessions

I want to sign up for more alumni workshops but the system won't let me.

Members can be enrolled in up to two workshops at a time. This is to ensure fairness in registration and accurate participant counts. After the workshop ends, you will be able to sign up for another one.

When signing up for an alumni workshop, it asks for my credit card info. Do I have to input my credit card info? Am I going to be charged?

If you are a member, all alumni workshops are free. Please leave the credit card fields blank and choose the $0.00 payment option. You will not be charged for the workshop.

The confirmation email says I paid $35. I'm a member - did my credit card get charged?

If you did not enter your credit card information, then you did not get charged. The $35 charge simply indicates the general cost of the alumni workshop, which is embedded in the receipt.

How do online Alumni Workshops work?

Each online workshop consists of a high-definition recording of a workshop topic and a 30 minute Question and Answer session. The specific times listed on the Alumni Workshops page refer specifically to the Q&A session. The recorded video will be available for you to view for seven days before and seven days after the Q&A session, as many times as you wish, at your leisure.

Everyone in the GMF Alumni Membership program will automatically be emailed a link to the high-definition recording, but only those who are registered for the event will be invited to the Q&A session.

We use Webex to deliver the Q&A session, which an online conferencing system. We HIGHLY recommend reviewing your system requirements and joining a test meeting before the Q&A to avoid technical difficulties. To participate, you will need a computer with access to the Internet.

I can't join the online Q&A

We use an online conferencing system called Webex to administer the Q&A sessions. If you need any help connecting to the Q&A, please contact technical support at 866-229-3239. They will be able to assist you in joining the online event.

"Help! I can't play back the video recording!"

We record our workshops in high-definition (HD) but the player we use should adjust the video quality to your relative connection speed. If the video does not play a few seconds after you click "play", the problem is likely due to a slow internet connection.

Videos may be slow to load using:
-analog / dial-up (60 kilobits per second)
-DSL
-satellite internet

Fast internet connections are ideal for watching videos, such as:
-cable internet (25 megabits per second)
-fiber-optic (100 megabits per second)

If you have a slow internet connection, you may need to wait for the video to load. If you are using wireless internet, try moving to a different location within your home or area where you have three or more bars.

To test your internet speed: http://speedtest.net/
If it is slower than 20 Mbps, please be patient while the video loads.

Starting & Stopping the Video

You can stop and start the video at any time, and watch the video as many times as desired. You can also click anywhere along the timeline at the bottom of the video player to jump to that point in the video. Please be patient while the video loads.

As the video plays, the "time marker", play/pause button, volume settings, etc. disappear. If you move your mouse over the video, they will re-appear at the bottom. You will notice a long bar at the bottom of the video. The dark grey shows the portion of the video you have not watched yet. The white part, or the "time marker" shows you where you are currently in the video and how much you have already watched. To change your spot in the video, simply click elsewhere on the line. You will also notice the video's length at the right side of the bar.

When will I get the access codes for the Q&A?

We will email you access codes and a link to the meeting room 48 hours before the Q&A. To ensure you receive it, please make sure your email address is spelled correctly in your account and add info@egwellness.com to your email address book.
